This workshop will exhibit work in progress in the context of development of the construction management course, smart data management system and governance support, as well as the processes and consideration of construction of affordable houses in Assam.
Workshop 2
The second workshop took place at the Assam Engineering College (Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam) 4-7 December 2017. The first two days of the conference involved a series of presentations by academics from University of Melbourne (UoM), Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), Assam Engineering College (AEC) and Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG). A complete list of presenters and topics is shown in the table below.
The last two days of the workshop involved a series of roundtable discussions bringing together academics with representatives from industry and government. Four topics were covered: Nature conservation and development chaired by Professor Ray Green, Professor Jayanta Pathak and Dr Sasanka Borah; Housing chaired by Professor Mark Burry, Dr Pradip Baishya and Professor Jayanta Pathak; Sustainable infrastructure chaired by Dr Sally Donovan, A/Professor Robert Crawford and Professor Bipul Talukdar; Governance chaired by Dr Hemanta Doloi, Geoff Kimm and Dr Sasanka Borah.
