Dr. Pradip Baishya

Dr Baishya is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Assam Engineering College. Dr Baishya was a visiting scholar at the Smart Villages Lab for a duration of eight weeks from 24 April 2017 till 18 June 2017. During the visit, Dr Baishya undertook a series of activities in teaching and research focusing on the infrastructure planning and development in Assam.

Dr Baishya developed three state of the art subjects for the new Construction Management program at Assam Engineering College, namely: Construction Waste Management; Fundamentals of Project Management; and Construction Methods and Equipment. Under the guidance of a number of experts and project team members from the University of Melbourne, Dr Baishya developed expertise in innovative teaching and learning techniques, and relevant research processes for supporting construction management practices in Assam.
