Professor S. K. Deb

Dr. Sudip Kumar Deb is a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, Assam, India. He completed his B.Engg from Guwahati University in 1983, M.Tech from IIT, Kharagpur, India in 1987, M.B.A from Gauhati University, India, in 1992 and Ph.D (Engg) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in 2003. His area of specialization and research interest is in Industrial Engineering and Management.

Dr. Deb visited University of Melbourne from 12th March until 20th April 2018 as a part of the collaborative research project on Smart Villages. During his visit he developed three subjects for the new Masters in Construction Management at Assam Engineering College, namely: Project Economics and Finance; Project Procurement; and Project Risks and Quality Management. Through collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning he has developed expertise on key issues in Construction Management, and helped to build collective capacity in construction management education and research across the State of Assam.
